Micro-Trafficking of Drugs is Expanding within Panama’s Interior Acknowledged by the National Police

The director of the National Police, Jaime Fernández, admitted that micro-trafficking is no longer a phenomenon exclusive to the capital and that the interior of the country has become a central concern for the institution. “Personally, I am focusing heavily on the interior of the country,” said Fernández, who cited operations in Los Santos, Herrera, Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro as examples of that commitment.
