The administrator of the Panama Canal, Ricaurte Vásquez, reported that the institution is making progress in the prequalification process for the development of port initiatives and a gas pipeline project, which the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) seeks to place on the market. Vásquez explained that the first phase of the process consisted of surveying the international market to identify companies genuinely interested in participating in these initiatives. As part of this outreach, meetings were held last October with several firms that expressed initial interest in the projects. “The first step is to go to the market to see who is formally interested.
