The World Boxing Association (WBA) super flyweight champion, Panama’s Nataly Delgado, made weight for her category and is ready to defend her title this Saturday, March 28, at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in Managua, Nicaragua, against Venezuela’s Yoselin Fernández. Delgado easily made weight at 114.6 pounds to be eligible for the title fight, in which she will defend the WBA 115-pound belt for the second time. Her rival, Venezuelan Fernández, also had no problems at the official weigh-in, registering 113 pounds. “We are optimistic about successfully defending the world title, putting into action what we have planned to achieve our goal,” said Delgado from Nicaragua, who highlighted the treatment and value that has been given to his title. The Panamanian’s title fight will be part of an event organized by the local promotional company Güegüense Box Promotions. Delgado, 31, won the WBA 115-pound world title on July 18, 2025 in Panama City when she defeated Mexican and former world champion Maribel Ramirez by unanimous decision.
